How is George's development socially and emotionally? Do you think he could relate well to children a year older? Would you say that he is ready for a more formal setting with more expectations and academic goals? More importantly, could you see him going in to first grade a year from now? We based our decision primarily on George's current emotional readiness, which made the decision easier than thinking about implications one, five, and ten years from now. Everyone was very helpful and encouraging and suggested good questions to think about, although for almost all the questions, we thought George was ready for a more formal setting, entering first grade in a year, and so on. But we didn't feel he was ready. George will be at Burbank, where he will be in a stimulating environment, and have a lot of fun. So we are happy. Thank you again for your help.
